"Posco Specialty Steel" was established in 1997 by taking over the
section of "steel bar & seamless
pipe" of SAMMI Steel", which had
been obtaining reputations in the field of
"Specialty steel" for 20 years.
The company produces high quality steel for
automobiles, machinery, nuclear power plants,
ship-building, aeronautics and electronics.
It's located in the area of 648,970 square
meter of Changwon industrial complex in Changwon
city, the company is fully equipped for a
yearly production capacity of 800,000 tons
of crude steel. The production capacity covers
800,000 tons of crude steel, 528,000 tons
of rolled or forged products, 78,000 tons
of pickled coil, and 17,000 tons of steel
tubes and pipes.
We plan to increase the production capacity
for stainless steel & tool steel as characteristic
items. "Posco Specialty Steel" has perfect quality assurance system in order
to satisfy customers. Through the accurate
chemical analyses and the tests of gas content,
cleanliness, microstructure, strength and
corrosion, "Posco Specialty Steel" supplies high quality products. As a result
of these efforts, we have acquired the certificates
from international standardization organizations
such as TUV, JIS, LLOYD as well as ISO9001.
Through continuous R&D, "Posco Specialty Steel" is developing new products,
and improving manufacturing process.
